It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edna Gant of Somerville, Alabama, born in Summertown, Tennessee, who passed away on June 26, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clessie Jaco and Willie Mae Lemay Jaco; her children, Ricky Gant and Rhonda Martin; and her siblings, Jo Ann Goode, Janie Jaco, Patricia McDonald, Mary Lee Holley, Neal Jaco, Billie Jaco, Edward Lemay, Leonard Jaco, Jessie "Gabby" Jaco, Paul Ray Jaco, Jerry Wayne Jaco and James K. Jaco.
She is survived by: her children, Roxie Parker (David) of Lombard, IL and Rufus Marvin Gant of Water Valley, MS; her brother Clessie Thomas Jaco, Jr. of Spring Hill, TN; and her grandchildren, Jackson Lee Parker, Callie Ann Parker, Skylar Jeng Gant and Andy Catron. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
