It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eddie Hammons of Somerville, Alabama, born in Fayette, Alabama, who passed away on December 10, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennie Hammons and Ruby Hammons; and his brother Henry Hammons. He is survived by: his wife Shirley McDonald Hammons; his children, Matt Hammons (Carolyn) and Teri Windham (Tom); and his grandchildren, Houston Taylor (Becca), Whitney Hammons (Mike O'Sullivan), Travis Taylor, Jordan Hammons (Kalae Harden) and Eddie Austin Taylor.
