He is survived by: his children, Donnie Smith (Whitney), Betty Vaughn of Boaz, Charles Smith (Ann) of Cleveland and Robert Lee Smith of Snead; his godsons, Charlie Blackmon of Guntersville and Jerry Williams of Blountsville; his grandchildren, Melissa Ann Smith, Johnny Ray Smith, Destiny Smith, Diamond Rae Smith, Greg Vaughn (Ashley), Jason Vaughn (Jessica), Starla Cossey (Coleman), Makala Lee Smith and Betty Brianna Smith; his sisters, Bobbie Stone of Altoona, Lena Clayton (James) of Altoona and Joan Wilemon of Albertville; and his close friends, Fernando Cruz and J. D. Hancock. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
