She was predeceased by: her husband Edward Bernice Branch; her parents, Ida Stokley and Granvil S. Stokley; and her siblings, Basil Leonard Stokley, Roy Lee Stokley, James Alfred Stokley and Clara Lucille Stokley.

She is survived by: her daughters, Pamela Rae Borders of Birmingham and Leslie Ann Mola of Virginia Beach, Virginia.; her son-in-law James B. Borders Jr.; her grandchildren, James Edward Borders of Birmingham, Samantha Ann "Sammi" Mola and Nicholas Gennaro "Nick" Mola of Virginia Beach; her sister Mary Etta Peacock of Elkins; and also Shirley.

A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Fort Mitchell National Cemetery.
