With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Richard Key of Smiths Station, Alabama, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Richard left this world on March 15, 2025 at the age of 88, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hayde P. Key and Mary Hazel Grant Key; and his brother Curtis Key. He is survived by: his wife Irma "Linda" Bowes Key; and his children, Diana Soliday, Julie Davis (Lee), Susan Belcher, Amy Cates, Richard Key II (Lisa) and Daniel "Danny" Key (Robin). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; numerous other family members and friends.
