He is survived by: his sons, William "Bill" Lowther (Jean) of Smiths Station, AL and Richard H. Lowther, Jr. (Kathy) of Headland, AL; his grandsons, C. Stoddard Lowther (Melanie) of Houston, TX and Joshua Bennett Lowther (Arriele) of Smiths Station, AL; and his great grandchildren, Ellis Anne Lowther, Levi Lowther, Emma Lowther, Mary Grace Lowther and Annabelle Strickland. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family members and many caring friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church or Smiths Station Baptist Church in memory of Mr. Richard "Dick" H. Lowther, Sr.
