It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patricia Ann Shelton of Smiths Station, Alabama, born in Columbus, Georgia, who passed away on May 4, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marshall "Elmo" Long and Ruth Ann Griggers Long; and her brother Thomas E. Long. She is survived by: her husband John David "JD" Shelton of Smiths Station, AL; her children, Kim Culpepper (Kenneth) and David Shelton of Smiths Station, AL; her brother Marshall Long of Bradenton, FL; and her grandchildren, Dalton Culpepper (Marline), Noah Shelton and Taylor Shelton. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, extended family, and many caring friends.
