He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewie Ward and Carolyn McClenny Johnson; and his daughter Tara Ward Burkes. He is survived by: his wife Linda Buice Ward of Smiths Station, AL; his sons, Gabe Ward (Susan) of Crawford, AL and Shae Ward (Jess) of Smiths Station, AL; his brother Jerry Ward (Brenda) of Ft. Mitchell, AL; his grandchildren, Breanna Ashtyn Maggart (Caleb), Gabby Ward, Gracie Ward and Samuel Shae Ward; his great grandchildren, Luke Aaron Maggart and Leo Michael Maggart; and his brother-in-law Chris Buice (Violet). He is also survived by several other extended family and friends.

The family does request that everyone wear a mask and practice social distancing.
