It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melania Dailey of Smiths Station, Alabama, who passed away on October 25, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Melania departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Melania. Though Melania may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Donta Gonzalez and Ana Marie Sanjur. She is survived by: her husband Bernard "Bernie" D. Dailey of Smiths Station, AL; her daughter Kristine Manglona-Huang; her son-in-law Joseph of Lawrenceville, GA; and her granddaughter Kayla Manglona.
A prayer was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Vance Brooks Funeral Home - Phenix City (3738 US-431, Phenix City, AL 36867). Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Anne Catholic Church (2000 Kay Cir, Columbus, GA 31907). A burial was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Fort Mitchell National Cemetery (553 AL-165, Fort Mitchell, AL 36856).
