He was predeceased by: his parents, James Mitchell and Rosa Allen Mitchell; and his brothers, Dr. James Stuart Mitchell and Kay Allen Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Jean Stratford Mitchell of Smiths Station, AL; his daughters, Lisa Hutchinson (Mickey) of Phenix City, AL and Wendy Ogletree (Hugh Ogletree, Sr.) of Salem, AL; his brother Charles Mitchell; his grandchildren, Mitchell Holt (Allison), Shannon Kiker (Kittrell), Bret Hutchinson, Madison Ogletree and Andrew Ogletree; and his great grandchildren, Bailey Kiker, Kaylee Kiker, Emma Holt, Harrison Holt, Mason Kiker-Brooks and Raelynn Hutchinson. He is also survived by several extended family and friends.
