He was predeceased by: his parents, Cora Lee Davidson (Davidson) and Elbert Lafayette Ellison; his wife Priscilla Mae Ellison (Downs); his son James Phillip Ellison; and his son-in-law Jeffrey Randall Sawyer.
He is survived by: his daughter Angela Ellison Sawyer of Columbus, GA; and his grandchildren, Jonathan Brandon Sawyer of Atlanta, GA and Samantha June Sawyer of Columbus, GA. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Columbus Hospice House of Georgia and Alabama would be appreciated.
