She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Reed and Hattie Allen Reed; her husband Charlie P. Nix; and her siblings, T. J., Claude "Monk", James, Hazel Wattenbarger, Imogene Walden, Nell Edgemon, Wanda Rinehart and Mary Reed Shoemaker.
She is survived by: her son Chuck Nix (DaRell) of Smiths Station, AL; her grandchildren, Kaci Nix of Smiths Station, AL and Chance Nix of Smiths Station, AL; her sister Peggy Sliger (Edwin); her nephews, Dwain Sliger and Donnie (Linda); and her caregivers, Linda Newsome, Crystal Smith and Summer Smith. She is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
