He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper Rudolph Smith and Mary Love Tice Smith; and his siblings, Joy Lim, Lawrence Smith and Gerald Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Marie Alberson Smith; his children, Donna Woodall, John Smith, Amy Marie Taylor, Chris Taylor and Kelly Stadler (Bryant); and his brother-in-law Dr. Heng Lim. He is also survived by Eighteen grandchildren; Fifteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family.

In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to the Philadelphia Baptist Church Sunday School Ministry in memory of Mr. Donald Jasper Smith.
