He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Messer and Eula Mae Gullatt Messer; and his sister Betty Jean Messer. He is survived by: his wife Gaynelle T. Messer of Smiths Station, AL; his son Steve Messer (Theresa) of Saraland, AL; his sister Susan Saxon (Nathan) of Crawford, AL; his grandchildren, Kayla Stanley (Tyler), Kaydie Messer and Kenadi Messer; and his great grandchildren, Ryker, Grady and Tilly. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and numerous friends.
