Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Steve Benefield of Slocomb, Alabama, born in Hartford, Alabama, who passed away at the age of 70, on June 8, 2024. He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Benefield and Jean Hatcher Simmons; and his sister Debbie Ingalls. He is survived by: his wife Lonnie Benefield; his children, Jennifer Ward (Jerry) and Steve Benefield Jr. (Summer); his grandchildren, Aubry Benefield (Anna), Lauren Temple (Jordan), Micah Benefield, Madison Ward and Gracie Ward; and his sister Diane Jones. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
