He was predeceased by: his parents, Rebecca Watford Wells and L. T. Wells; and his wife Hattie Wells. He is survived by: his sons, Shay Wells (Wendy) and David Wells (Kathy); his sister Jean Snipes; his grandchildren, Grace Wells, Trevor Wells (Faye), Shawn Wells, Harrison Wells and Loramie Wells (Grace); his close friend Benny George Haddan; and his friend David Wells (Kathy).
