He was predeceased by: his siblings, Jay Lee Barnes, Eldora Davis and Merlene Barnes. He is survived by: his wife Shelby Jean Barnes; his son Dennis Ray Barnes (Mary Catherine); his grandchildren, Victoria Elaine Clemmons and Austin Tony Clemmons; his siblings-in-law, Annette Barnes, Melba Campbell, Sybil Stephens, Tommy Davis and Donald Freeman (Linda); and his nieces and nephews, Debra Sue Parrish, Tammy Brown (Keith), Darlene Houk, Bolivia Windham, Beth Stephens Branch, Denise Galloway Rowland, Kevin Freeman, Rodney Galloway, Tommy Davis Jr. and Jeff Stephens.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Malvern Baptist Church (161 Church St, Slocomb, AL 36375). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
