She was predeceased by: her parent Elvie May Kirkland Lassiter; her siblings, Estelle Sawyer, Lewis Lassiter, Sybil Holton, Sheila Mitchell, Larry Lassiter and Rex Lassiter; and her son-in-law Johnny K. Cumbie.
She is survived by: her husband James A. Smith; her daughters, Laura Crawford (Kyle) and Leah Cumbie; her grandchildren, Kara Ezell (Drew), Radney Crawford (Carolyn), Hannah Crosby and Haley Crosby; her great grandchildren, Evie Ezell, Emma Crawford, Elijah Crawford, Lilah Crawford and Ethan Ezell; her siblings, Lounell Baxley, Debra Fowler, Pete Lassiter and Ricky Lassiter; her siblings-in-law, Gail Lassiter, Diana Lassiter and Lamar Holton; and her close friend Ruby Hagler. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
