With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Kathryn Shields of Slocomb, Alabama, born in Geneva, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 11, 2024 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Marion and Lola Teresa Price Shields; her siblings, Troyce Shields (Fay), Gerald Shields (Patricia) of Marianna, FL and Sarah Helen Shields; and her great grandchild Tali Burditt of Houma, LA.
She is survived by: her children, Connie Walker (Charles), Kenny Tindell (Stephanie), Carl Tindell of Dallas, TX and Michelle Culp (Donnie); and her grandchildren, Steven Walker (Jessica), Jennifer Richards (Jeremy), Kayla Burditt (Ronald), Kenneth Tindell (Wendy), McKayla Haynes, Thomas Tindell, Cooper Ashcraft, Marsha Tindell, Lester Tindell (Tonia), Corinne Solis, Natalie Faulk, Haydyn Murphy (Michael) and Lindsey Worthington (Storm). She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made to Hartford Retirement Village in memory of Mrs. Shields.
