She was predeceased by: her parent Elvie May Kirkland Lassiter; her husband Howell Gene Baxley; and her siblings, Estelle Sawyer, Lewis Lassiter, Sybil Holton, Sheila Mitchell, Larry Lassiter, Rex Lassiter and Melba Grace Smith.
She is survived by: her son Tracy; her daughter-in-law Melissa Baxley; her grandchildren, Matthew, Abigail Baxley and Luke Baxley; and her siblings, Debra Fowler, Pete Lassiter and Ricky Lassiter. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sorrells Funeral Home (1315 W Lawrence St, Slocomb, AL 36375). A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the New Teamon Baptist Church Cemetery (3813 S County Rd 85, Slocomb, AL 36375).
The family requests that flowers be omitted, and memorial contributions be made to New Teamon Baptist Church Building Fund, 3813 S. County Road 85., Slocomb, AL 36375.
