He is survived by: his wife Dora Helms (Kay); his children, Mary Kaitlyn Helms (Katy), Chad Earnest Helms and John Travis Helms; his mother Sue Helms; his grandchildren, Hannah Kay Helms, Jon Sebastian Helms and Emma Helms; and his siblings, Brenda Sue Helms, Janet Lynn Thomas (Robert) and Terry Glenn Bolin (Julie). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
