He was predeceased by: his parents, Augustus Dietrich and Lucille Dietrich (Mattson); his wife Betty; his son Mark Erdely; his grandson Brian Erdely; his siblings, Shirley Alicia, Joyce White, Larry and Neil Dietrich; his siblings-in-law, Bob Kaeberlein and Janet Kaeberlein; and also, Fred and Ethel Kaeberlein (King).

He is survived by: his pet Regan; his children, Brian (Renae), Ron (Chari), Trevor Dietrich (Lisa) and Danielle Fugate (Brian DeMarco); his granddaughter Shelby Fugate; his daughter-in-law Barb Erdely; his grandson Jay Erdely (Kim); his siblings, Pat Munn-Dietrich (Chuck), Arden (Cleo) and John Dietrich; his parents-in-law, Bill Kaeberlein, Fred Kaeberlein (Kay), Sue Hollenbeck (Bill) and Dan Kaeberlein (Peg); and his friends, Waid, Lynn, Clayton Thompson, Art Entley, Andy Kania, Dave Vandamia, Norm Thompson and Chris Yatzor. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews.
