He was predeceased by: his parents, Malcomb Godwin and Beulah Clark Godwin; and his siblings, John, Moody, Cecil Godwin, Mary Wilkinson and Burnice Hendrix.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Moss Godwin; his children, Dianne Bryant (Phillip) and Donald Godwin (Debra); and his brother Jimmy Godwin. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home (1315 W Lawrence St, Slocomb, AL 36375). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
