He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold O. McCathren and Velma Marie Brooks McCathren; and his siblings, Martha, Esther and Chuck.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Marcus McCathren of Skipperville; his children, Pamela Lewis (George) of Dothan, Ross McCathren of Skipperville and Gayle Madden (John) of Southern Pines; his grandchildren, Mallorie, Cassandra, Gavin, Gage Lewis, Mary and Lucy Madden; and his siblings, Connie, Diana, Dennis, Donna, Gary (Twin) and Roger.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Asbury Methodist Church (2536 Co Rd 33, Ozark, AL 36360). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
