He was loved and cherished by many people including: his daughter Charlotte Pate (Wesley "Eddie"); his granddaughter Brandi Sanders; his great grandchildren, Andrew and Matthew; and his siblings, Eloise Pope, Donald Byrd and Jerry Byrd.
