He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Macon and Margaret Macon; his siblings, Jane Kelly and Vance Macon; and his grandson William Leslie "Billy" Macon.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine "Kate" Macon; his children, Cathy McLain (Brett Stegall), Lynn Strickland (Ricky), Ellen Mikkelsen (Victor) and Leslie C. "Bunk" Macon (Amy); his grandchildren, Melissa Davis (Carl), Taylor McLain (Sarah), Logan Nelson (Candice), Madison Strickland (Jason Steingruby), Hunter Mikkelsen (Shauna), Caitlin Mikkelsen, Chase Mikkelsen (Tiffany), Chasity Macon and Tyler Macon; and his great grandchildren, Sway, Lane, Madelyn, Collin, Braydon, Coleman, Tucker, Brody, Grady and Liam.
