He is survived by: his wife Barbara Kountz Melton; his daughter Katie Melton Doughman; his grandchildren, Anne-Marie Doughman, Jonathan Doughman, Jr. and Lilly Doughman; and his sisters, Penny Hunter, Eva Hodge, Teenie Hutchinson (David), Vivian Gibbons (Mike) and Lisa Melton.
