He was predeceased by: his parent Margaret Purtell; and his daughter Sheree Purtell. He is survived by: his wife Jackie Utsey Purtell of Silas, AL; his daughter Laurie Carson Munzy (Donald) of Austin, TX; his stepchildren, Mike Utsey (Angie) of Silas, AL and Bridget Utsey Busby of Pace, FL; his grandchildren, Ryan Carranza and Melony Carson; and his stepgrandchildren, Mikaela Utsey, John Michael Utsey and Kealon Busby.
