He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend Thomas Emery Long and Clara Robinson Long; his siblings, Marshall Long, Evelyn Kelly, Inez Lundy, Ollie Pearl Chappell and Emma Graham; his grandchildren, Jonathan Cooper, Marty Jenkins and Connor Long; and his great grandchildren, Colton Lovelace and Cameron Lovelace.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean Smith Long of Silas, AL; and his children, Stevie Long (Vickie) of Millry, AL, Linda Clarke (Hugh) of Millry, AL, Phyllis Boykin (Robert) of Gilbertown, AL, Patsy Burford (Jim) of Butler, AL, Debbie Cooper (Gary) of Gilbertown, AL, Rosie Lee (Jimmy) of Gilbertown, AL and Cathy Long of Gilbertown, AL. He is also survived by grandchildren; forty-four great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.
