He was predeceased by: his parents, John M. Sikes, Sr. and Jessie Taylor Sikes; his wife Cathleen S. Sikes; and his children, Jeffrey Sikes and Barbara Ann S. Kidd.
He is survived by: his sons, Steve Sikes (Cindy) of Lavaca, AL, Tony Sikes (Dawn) of Melvin, AL, Bobby Sikes (Tayler) of Millry, AL, Jerry Sikes (Dawn) of Gilbertown, AL and Blake Sikes of Silas, AL; his brother Russell Sikes (Virginia) of Toxey, AL; and his grandchildren, Matthew, Stone, Katelee, Justin, Chase, Jordan, Jax, Brooks, John Weston, Millie, Cody, Anna, Jaken, Jamie and Leah. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
