He was predeceased by: his wife Jeanette Pitts; his parents, Azzie W. Pitts and Bertha Lois Welch Pitts; and his siblings, Donnie Ray Pitts, Robert Gail Pitts, Azeline Myrick and Betty Lou Pitts.
He is survived by: his siblings, Charles Dale Pitts of Atlanta, TX, Bonnie Sue Pledgier of Winston Salem, NC, Wilsie Jo Cheatham of Laurel, MS and Cecilia Ann Willis of Dixon, MO.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
