She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Pearson Tye and Minnie Wood Tye; her husband Ernest Grace "Red" Phillips; and her siblings, Sallie Riley and Paul Tye.
She is survived by: her children, Melanie Barron (Sammy), Debbie Weems of Abbeville, Thomas "Bo" Phillips (Abbeville), Tim Phillips (Shorterville), Chris Phillips (Abbeville), Pat Phillips (Shorterville) and Sam Phillips (Abbeville); and her sister Polly Griner of Augusta, GA. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
