She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Robert Houghtaling and Lucy Stieber Houghtaling; her husband Tim "Roger" Busby; her daughter Caroline Pence; her daughter-in-law Jackie Ross; and her sister Ruth Houghtaling.
She is survived by: her son Ron Ross; her son-in-law Jim Pence; her grandchildren, Adam Sherrell (Abbey), Jennifer Beavers (Philip), Joshua Sherrell (Memory), Tiffany Bihm (Javen), David Ross and Hunter Greer; and her stepchildren, Christy Shoemaker, Bethany Raygoza (Omar) and Lindsay Czarnecki (Kevin). She is also survived by step-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bethlehem Baptist Church (345 Bethlehem Church Rd, Shelby, AL 35143).
