With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Moore of Shelby, Alabama, who passed away on October 23, 2023 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert A. Moore and Frances Marie Moore; his siblings, Julia Mercer, John E. Moore and Michael "Mickey" Moore; his brothers-in-law, Keith Miller and Early Mercer; and his pet Buster.

He is survived by: his wife Darthy Moore; his children, James H. "Jamey" Moore (Bobbie) and Courtney Pierce (Jeff); his grandchildren, Molly Lawson (Hunter), Michael Goodwin and Jaydyn Pierce Butterworth (Jaxon); his great grandchild Greenleigh Moore; his siblings, Bobbie Moore Miller and Robert A. Moore (Linda); and his sisters-in-law, Maxine Moore and Linda Moore. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
