She was predeceased by: her parents, Rueben Vanderslice and Josie Vanderslice; her husband James M. Lowery; her son James Vandy Lowery; and her siblings, Mary Thompson, Nell Bate and Duran Vanderslice.

She is survived by: her grandsons, Adam and Daniel Lowery (Christen). She is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and close friends.
