It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donna Garrett of Shelby, Alabama, born in Alabaster, Alabama, who passed away on December 24, 2023, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bobby Joe Carter and Doris Marie Crowson Carter; her brothers, Larry Joe Carter, Michael Wayne Carter, Paul Douglas Carter and Rex Allen Carter; her sister-in-law Wanda Garrett Lawley; her niece Tanya Renee Carter; and her nephew Kenneth Wayne Carter.

She is survived by: her husband Phillip L. Garrett of Calera, AL; her son Lawrence "Clint" Garrett of Wetumpka, AL; and her aunts and uncles, Jean Gurley (Dennis) of Warrior, AL, Barbara C. Backes of Colorado, Wanda Holcomb (Doug) of Jemison, AL, Jerry Crowson of Oregon and Linda McKinney (Jim) of Calera, AL.. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews along with many cousins.
