He was predeceased by: his parents, Jewel Hawkins, Sr. and Virginia Hawkins; his brothers, Erskin Hawkins, Sr. and James Henry Hawkins; his son Calvester Hawkins, Jr.; and his sister Virginia Fay Hawkins Wooley.
He is survived by: his children, Daphne Hawkins, Alicia Faye Hawkins, Katherine Hawkins and Antonio Ramon Hawkins of Alabaster, AL; his siblings, Jewel Hawkins, Jr. (Eva), Gwendolyn Hawkins Salter and Juliette Montgomery; his sister-in-law Carolyn Hawkins of Harpersville, AL; and his close friends, Otis Rhine, Vonald Demoss and Terrell Hall. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
