With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Billy James Walker in Shelby, Alabama, born in Decatur, Alabama, who passed away on March 16, 2024 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmy Walker and Nellie Walker. He is survived by: his wife Thelma Davenport; his sister Jane Knouff; his sons, Phillip (Bonnie), Alan (Jane) and Michael; his grandchildren, Rachel Sims, Daniel Walker, William Walker (Skyler), Sarah McFall (Tad), Cameron and Sophie Walker; and his great grandchildren, Silas, Rhoda, Abner Sims, Lucas Walker and Thomas McFall. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends.

The family suggests that any donations be made to The American Cancer Society, or The Spina Bifida Association of Georgia-Tennessee.
