It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sara Elaine Melton of Sheffield, Alabama, who passed away on October 16, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Sara Elaine may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Melton; and her brother Warner Foust. She is survived by: her daughter Elaine Melton Thigpen (William); her sister Linda Foust; and her granddaughters, Amy Loveday (Tyler) and Rachel Slay. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 19th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Morrison Funeral Home (825 N Main St, Tuscumbia, AL 35674).
