She was predeceased by: her parents, Velma Allen (Vinson) and Happy Vinson; her brother Hammett Vinson; her children, Vivian Hallman Ford, Ellis Hallman and Roderick Vinson; and her grandchildren, LaGrounda Renee Ford Lewis and Tonya Hallman.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Hallman Smithers (James) of Muscle Shoals, Brenda Vinson Foster (William) of Dublin, Georgia, Larry Vinson (Angela) of Sheffield, Alabama and Reginald Vinson of Sheffield, Alabama; her niece Dorothy Crawley of Muscle Shoals, Alabama; and her cousins, Linda Armstrong Croff of Flint and Janice Williams of Ypsilanti, Michigan. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; three great – great-grandchildren.
