He was predeceased by: his wife Frances; his parents, Vonley McCoy and Chloe McCoy; his brother Jim (Mona); his nephew Jimmy; and his brother-in-law Ron Newborn.
He is survived by: his daughters, Regina McCoy (Larry Brumbeloe), Rhonda McCoy, Yorkie and Jock; his pets, Wally and Rosie; and his sister-in-law Doris Newborn. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Joe's memory to Small Paws Rescue, Tulsa, Oklahoma, or to St. Jude, Memphis, Tennessee.
