He is survived by: his wife Nannie Mae Lovelady; his children, James Woodrow Lovelady (Jennie), Jimmy Wade Lovelady (Jeanette) and Mary Ann Wellington (Tim); his sisters, Ruth Tippitt, Barbara Robinson, Helen Tidwell and Lila Lovelady Saylors; and his grandchildren, Renea Lovelady, Jeffery Lovelady, Elizabeth Viall, Jonathan Wellington, Jennifer Cabler and Stephanie Wellington. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
