He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hulett and Wanda Seay Hulett; his grandparents, Viola E. (Clarence) of Washington, Willie and Eulia Thirkill Hulett; his aunts, Barbara Hampton, Paula Seay and Regina Seay Hamm; his sisters, Nitra Hulett and Kadesha Hullet; and his nephew T'Quiz Hulett.

He is survived by: his son Maurice Mitchell; his sisters, Eulia Joplin (Isiah) and Tiffany Ruffin (Charles) of Sheffield; his aunts and uncles, Alice Garner (Ronald), Juanita Seay of Muscle Shoals, Robert Seay (Flora) and John Seay of Sheffield; his nieces and nephews, LaKayle Anderson, LaTasha Ruffin, T'Nijah Hulett, Charles Darby, Jr., T'Coryen Hulett, Ka'Nas Ruffin, TaVyon Hulett, T'Kythen Hulett, KaMearrea Ruffin and JaMaries Hulett; his granddaughter Khalani Mitchell; and his close friend Karsandra Williams. He is also survived by cousins relatives and friends.
