It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Delanie Scales (Sheffield, Alabama), who passed away on March 11, 2018, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his nephew Robert Carrol Scales. He is survived by: his wife MaLea Scales; his son Rusty Scales; his stepsons, Braxton Wade (Cortney) and Nicholas Wade (Carolyn); his grandchildren, Lindon Eli Scales, Sally Briar Scales, Ethan Wade and Austin Wade; his brothers, Bobby Scales (Twink) and Harvel Scales (Derenda); his mother-in-law Etta Stephenson; his brother-in-law Devin Stephenson (Judy); his aunts, Blanche Frazier and Faye Hand; his uncle Starley Hand; and also Jody Scales (Titian). He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Lloyd Baker, Jeff Brewster, Roy Kelley, Steve Nix, Bob Reynolds, and Ronnie Wicks In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Music Fund of Sheffield First Church of the Nazarene, 1515 E. 27th St. Sheffield, AL 35660-3160.
