She was predeceased by: her husband Milton Hayze Steen; her parents, Bruce Toney and Viola Toney; and her brothers, James Toney and Gordon Toney.
She is survived by: her children, Ronald Steen (Reba), Deborah Dowdell (Jimbo), Roger Steen (Angie) and Rickey Steen (Dana); and her sister Ada Ruth Holley. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren.
