He was predeceased by: his parents, Owen Skidmore and Artie McRight Skidmore; and his brothers, Levi Skidmore of Spruce Pine and Nelson Skidmore of Spruce Pine. He is survived by: his wife Nora Ann Gooch Skidmore; his children, Steve Skidmore (Philecia) and Pam Lenz (Terry); his grandchildren, Jana Faires (Jason), William Lenz (Destin) and Caleb Lenz; and his great grandchildren, Kaylee Lawson, Kailyn Lenz, Kayden Faires and Nathan Lenz.
