She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Eugene Askew, Sr.; her son Robert "Buddy" Askew, Jr.; her grandchildren, Julie Askew Thompson and Todd Askew; her parents, Herbert Scott and Norma Rutherford Scott; and her brother William Herbert Scott.
She is survived by: her children, Lyle Askew (Linda), Bradley Askew (Kelly) and Allison Linville; her sisters, Bonnie Riley and Jeannie Roberts; and her grandchildren, Trey Askew Connell (Kristi), David Askew (Natalie), Phillip Askew (Ivy), Chase Askew, Erin Askew Hester (Kyle), Clay Askew (Amanda), Dee Stone, Scott Thompson and Anya Askew. She is also survived by twenty great grandchildren.
