She was predeceased by: her parents, John Thompson and Eunice Thompson; her former husband Hulen Lester Veal; her grandson Eric Scott Moreland; and her siblings, Marvin and Nell.
She is survived by: her husband Aubrey Smith; her children, Ricky Veal (Teresa), Stan Veal (Debbie), Mark Veal and Tamara Peden (Garry); her stepchildren, Carol Youkey and Glenn Smith; her sisters, Orene McAnnally and Faye Gable; her great grandchildren, Keith Veal, Clint Moreland, Jason Veal, Kory Veal, Taylor Moreland, Carsyn Moreland, Austin Moreland, Tyler Veal, Easton Veal and Everest Veal; and her grandchildren, Stephen, Chase, Kimberly, Amy, Sydney, Emma, Anna Kate, Harper, Emersyn, Angela and Christy.
