With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Ray Sr. of Semmes, Alabama, born in Ray City, Georgia, who passed away on August 30, 2022 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his daughters, Robin Ray, Darlene Hare and Deborah Williams. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ray; his children, Karen Brooks (Ron), William C. "Skip" Ray, Jr., Cindy Holderfield, Elizabeth Strickland, Dwayne Williams (Darlene), Sharon Woods (Daniel) and Perry Williams (Anita); and his brother James Ray. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren; 3 great, great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
