He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Mae Morgan; his parents, L. D. Morgan and Harriet Morgan; and his sister Helen King. He is survived by: his sons, Terry Morgan (Kathy), Michael Morgan (Diane) and Sam Morgan (LaVonne); and his siblings, David Morgan (Gerry), Richard Morgan (Sharon), Betty Barnes and Elaine Taylor (George). He is also survived by six grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
